Fireflies are designed to help you figure out the first letter of an unsolved word while also dropping Coins on the word's remaining tiles! They automatically activate at the start of a new level as long as Firefly tokens are available and up to four Fireflies can be used per level.

If you run out of Firefly tokens, the feature will stop working; however, more can be purchased if needed.
