Tokens are the currency used to buy vowels and consonants within a level. You are given a flat amount to use when you start a level. When you run out, you must solve the puzzle.

There is no way to earn additional Tokens while playing but you will be issued more when starting a new level.

Any unused Tokens you have leftover after solving a puzzle go towards Coin awards when completing a level!
